Kits and Patterns from Margie and friends in France and Scotland  

The patterns on this page were designed for Moondance by my friends,

Rosie Macdonald and Karen Forbes

Please click on their names above to find out more about them.
They always ensure that their patterns are easy to follow so that you can enjoy your knitting and be happy with the items you've created. 

The kits are always individually and carefully packed to order and include the pattern and all yarn needed to complete the project. Alternatively, you may purchase just the patterns for £2.50 each.

Pattern by Rosie Macdonald, our own knitting guru.
It knits up quickly and has a lovely open lacey feel. 

The pattern is reminiscent of a garden trellis and compliments this multi-coloured specialty yarn Wool Classica Yarn from Manos del Uruguay.

It is a unique handspun and kettle dyed yarn, produced by a wonderful women's fair trade cooperative in Uruguay.  

Needles required are sold separately and we recommend 6mm/U.S 10 straight needles, but feel free to try any size from 5.5mm to 7mm, depending on your preference.

For experience knitters, we're sure you'll be tempted by the beautifully patterned baby blanket composed of cable and lace squares to make an heirloom. 

Just a glimpse of this lovely blanket can be seen here, delighting baby Hannah with a small photo from the design.

The needles required are 4mm/U.S. 6 straight needles and are sold separately.

This lovely scarf was designed by my friend Karen, who loves detail and design. The lacey pattern is easily knit, as it evolves over a repeating 4 rows.  

The Original scarf shown on the left was knitted with some of my hand-dyed Moondance yarn.

The kit contains the two skeins of Moondance yarn you will need. The needles required are 4mm/U.S. 6 straight needles and are sold separately.
