There is
colour inspiration all around me, from the subtle tones
of autumn leaves and tree bark to rippling water.
I love the ancient stones of the dry stone walls that
surround some of our fields on the farm, and which are
found in the countryside all over the Scottish Borders.
A
table runner, as featured here, is a popular way to add
interest to a bare table or sideboard.
In Scandinavia, crossed
pairs are often arranged on the table to serve as a very
attractive place mat alternative.
They can be woven in a
variety of yarns from the pure woollens, silks or linens and
cottons to even a mixture of these different yarns.
